Alan Jager is a Melbourne-based vocalist-guitarist who plays a great range of classic 60s – 90s covers and originals
His 2 x 45 or 3 x 45 minute sets incorporate the music of Billy Thorpe, Crowded House, Van Morrison, The Beatles, Dragon, Cat Stevens and more.
Alan first performed as a solo vocalist/guitarist in New Zealand and the Bahamas and has extensive experience in fronting bands in Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
He played John Lennon in the Beatles tribute band, Where’s Ringo, then in The John Lennon Show and now in Beatles & Beyond. He has played by invitation with The Beatnix in 2005 and Rubber Soul in 2007.
He is an ex-Coodabeen Champion on Radio 3RRR, a graduate of the National Theatre Drama School and performed as the Prince of Wales in the multi award-winning Nova Theatre production of The Scarlet Pimpernel in 2003 and as Sir Edward Ramsay in The King & I.
BEATLES & BEYOND is an exciting tribute to the music of The Beatles, as a band and as solo artists. In the first 50 minute set, fans are treated to classic Beatles tunes. The 2nd 50 minute set features a great spread of the solo work of John, Paul, George and Ringo.
ALAN JAGER
Born in Melbourne and raised on a diet of Beatles music, Alan Jager first performed as a solo vocalist/guitarist in New Zealand and the Bahamas and has extensive experience in fronting bands in Canada, New Zealand and Australia. He started playing John in the Beatles tribute band, Where’s Ringo? back in 2002 and then in The John Lennon Show from 2005. He has played by invitation with The Beatnix during their 2005 Victorian tour and on ABC radio with Rubber Soul in 2007.

GARRY MEAKLIM
A talented and versatile player, Garry (Moddy) Meaklim is a veteran of the Melbourne music scene since the 1970s on lead guitar and vocals. Past bands include The Johns & Jager Band, Jokers Wild and The John Lennon Show. He rocks!
MARK LANGLEY
Mark (Captain) Langley, on bass and vocals, is a Beatles aficionado who has played rock, R&B and jazz for over 25 years. Listen for his Maton or vintage Hofner bass driving the rhythm section.
BRIAN KING
Brian (Briby) King, from Sydney, now based in Melbourne, has also played professionally since the 1970s, around Australia and overseas. He has backed many artists and brings a dynamic and finishing touch to the John Lennon Show on keyboards and vocals.
GRANT CLELAND
Grant (Mister Dee) Cleland, originally from New Zealand, has played drums in Melbourne for the last 15 years and past bands have included the Johns & Jager Band, Jokers Wild and The John Lennon Show. Shut your eyes and you’re listening to Ringo!
